Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.
- Support children with personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and nap times.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, maintaining open and effective communication at all times.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further growth.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create and maintain a warm, welcoming, and inclusive nursery environment.
- Comply with safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
